Barça have equaled their best ever start to a league campaign and have won and scored five times in their last two away matches.

– Eight wins and a draw in the opening nine league matches equals the best ever start to a league campaign in the Club’s history. Another win against Celta in the next match will establish a new Club record.

-Barça have scored five goals in their second consecutive away match, following on from the 4-5 thriller last week in the Riazor.

– Saturday night’s victory was the first time Barça have won two seasons in a row in Vallecas.

– Possession was fairly well balanced (44%-56%) as were completed passes (293-448).

Cesc Fabregas completed the most passes (62 out of 70).

Xavi scored his 75th competitive goal with Barça.

Messi has scored 73 goals in 2012 and 13 in the current season.

– Villa played his first match in Vallecas and scored his fourth league goal.
